About The Position

The Project Delivery Leader role will provide enterprise leadership to drive project delivery excellence and performance outcomes across Brown and Caldwell. Collaboration with enterprise leaders, business unit leadership, and cross-functional partners will be critical to advance governance, delivery discipline, talent readiness, and strengthen project delivery capabilities across the company. Monitoring project delivery performance, risk indicators, capacity, and operational trends will enable the role to identify improvement opportunities and implement proactive solutions.

Requirements

  • Advanced leadership skills with expertise in project delivery governance, change management, and project management development.
  • Extensive knowledge of project and portfolio delivery, project controls, risk management, quality management, and business processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey strategy, standards, and expectations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Expertise in cross-functional collaboration, business acumen, and driving operational performance and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in evaluating project delivery systems, workforce capabilities, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years in P&L management, project/program management in an integrated multi-discipline project delivery environment, or related experience.
  • Proven track record in efficient resource allocation, matrixed and enterprise leadership, decision-making, project performance management, and achieving significant results for the functional area or organization.
  • A degree in engineering, construction management, or related field or equivalent experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the accountable leader for the company's Project Delivery platform, driving project delivery excellence in partnership with Business Units, geographies, and enterprise leaders.
  • Lead and champion the company's project management talent strategy, including career pathing, progression, readiness, succession planning, and capability development.
  • Partner with sales, client service, and operational leaders to strengthen project delivery lifecycle processes, company standards, and delivery requirements during sales and project execution phases.
  • Lead the project management community and promote the sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Sponsor the development and delivery of project management training, onboarding, and development programs for Project Managers, Project Controls, Project Analysts, and related project delivery professionals.
  • Lead, oversee, and evaluate project management and delivery processes, standards, training programs, and project performance reviews to support delivery consistency and operational excellence.
  • Support enterprise risk management efforts through high-risk project identification, monitoring, escalation, and collaboration with technical and risk management experts.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance and Accounting, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive profitable project delivery, monitor project performance trends, and identify projects requiring corrective actions.
  • Provide strategic leadership for enterprise project delivery oversight programs, partnering with Business Unit Project Delivery Directors, Operations leaders, and the Accountable Approver community to evaluate trends and drive performance improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as Business Owner for project management information systems, establishing governance, roadmap priorities, and continuous improvement strategies for related tools and processes.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project management capacity, capabilities, workforce planning needs, and recruitment strategies in collaboration with Enterprise and Business Unit leadership.
  • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of engagement, growth, and accountability.
  • Oversee workload planning, performance management, and team operations to align resources with business objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
