Promotes company-sponsored programs and events to associates, customers, and the local community. Leads associates and leaders in the area of responsibility by giving direction, communicating goals, monitoring performance, and providing feedback. Identifies training and development needs and provides opportunities for learning and growth. Teaches and supports Manufacturing and company policies and procedures. Participates in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates facility-wide. Investigates and ensures associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved using own judgment or consulting others when needed. Leads, develops, and implements the business plan for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implements operational improvements. Monitors and ensures facility-wide compliance with all regulatory agencies, including environmental, health, and safety regulatory agencies, as well as all company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives by developing, distributing, and/or maintaining procedures and supporting documentation. Forecasts and follows up on staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business needs. Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs, developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices, analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans, determining and supporting resource requirements, evaluating operational processes, measuring outcomes to ensure desired results, identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities, promoting a customer environment, and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps, recruiting, selecting, and developing talent, supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning, and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices, developing consequences for violations or noncompliance, and supporting the Open Door Policy. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, agriculture, food science, or manufacturing operations management and 2 years’ experience in a senior management role within a manufacturing/food science operations environment, with responsibility for supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workloads; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide.
  • 5 years’ experience in a senior management role in a manufacturing/food science operations environment, with responsibility for supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workloads; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide.
  • 2 years’ experience developing and managing budgets, managing profit-and-loss statements, developing manpower forecasts, monitoring regulatory compliance, and analyzing financial/operational data.
