About The Position

Farmers is hiring an experienced product leader to support the rate-setting process, a key driver of business results. The role leads large-scale product processes and drives process improvement, supporting profitable growth through assignments that are generally larger and more complex than those handled by Product Managers. The position works across teams to solve structured and unstructured business problems and performs independently with limited guidance. It may manage a team of Product Managers and Analysts. The Director, Product provides expertise and leadership across product management, rate execution, filings, quoting platforms and systems, knowledge management, underwriting guidelines, data requirements, compliance, and regulatory processes. The role coordinates complex rate revisions, multi-state product initiatives, and non-rate projects; influences timelines and sequencing with business partners and leadership; and serves as a regulatory expert for an assigned market or product. It also coaches and develops team members, leads hiring and onboarding, resolves escalated product issues, and communicates complex issues to leadership. The role may be performed in person at a Farmers office or virtually from an approved alternative work location. Farmers describes its workplace as hybrid, with at least three in-office days and up to two virtual days for employees who live within 50 miles of a corporate office; applicants farther away may still be considered. The physical environment is indoors and climate-controlled, with normal office noise and interruptions. Travel is rare, if any.
