Director - Product Ownership for Agentic AI PCs

HP•Austin, TX
•$182,750 - $320,250

About The Position

Lead the Product Owner organization responsible for translating customer intent into useful, trusted agentic experiences on HP PCs and edge devices. Own persona definition, experience design, feature trade-offs, and adoption success criteria. Guide product choices across devices, operating systems, AI runtimes, and connected services to deliver measurable customer value under real device constraints. The organization advances HP’s AI roadmap through capabilities deeply integrated into HP PCs and edge devices. Define experience strategy and a prioritized portfolio of customer problems, translating intelligence focus areas into coherent use cases and measurable outcomes. Lead research, journey design, and prototyping; specify agent behavior, context use, consent, human confirmation, recovery, accessibility, and continuity across devices. Convert experience goals into device acceptance criteria covering responsiveness, battery impact, memory use, offline behavior, and privacy, and agree local-versus-cloud execution trade-offs with engineering. Develop Product Owners who maintain clear priorities, testable requirements, and sprint goals with agile squads. Resolve feature trade-offs using customer evidence and platform readiness. Evaluate working increments on representative PCs and edge devices, accept experiences against agreed criteria, and drive changes when task completion, trust, or usability falls short. Define activation, sustained usage, task success, and customer satisfaction measures, and partner with Portfolio Operations and Divisions on pilots and feedback that inform priorities. Hire and develop product leaders, manage capacity and investment proposals, build succession plans, and represent product decisions and unresolved trade-offs to senior executives. The role is full-time. The annual pay range is $182,750 to $320,250 USD, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for U.S. candidates. Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
