About The Position

Availity is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Director of Product Operations to build and scale operational excellence across the product organization. This leader will drive cross-functional alignment, optimize product development processes, improve planning and governance, and enable product teams to operate efficiently at scale. The ideal candidate will bring a rare blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and cross-functional leadership to help scale how Availity’s product organization operates. This person will have the opportunity to shape planning, prioritization, governance, and execution across a complex healthcare technology environment—driving clarity, speed, and alignment at scale. The strongest candidates will thrive in ambiguity, influence at the executive level, use data to improve decision-making, and build operating models that help teams deliver better product outcomes for the market. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, Program Management, Strategy & Operations, or related functions.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of product development methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Lean practices.
  • Proven experience implementing operational processes and scaling cross-functional organizations.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Aha!, Productboard, Confluence, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting SaaS, technology, or digital product organizations.
  • Familiarity with OKRs, product analytics, and customer feedback systems.
  • Experience leading organizational change initiatives or PMO transformations.
  • Strong financial, forecasting, and resource planning capabilities.
  • Must be able to use a camera for all virtual meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and leading the Product Operations function to support product strategy, planning, execution, and measurement.
  • Establishing scalable processes, frameworks, and operating rhythms across Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Driving product portfolio planning, roadmap governance, prioritization frameworks, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Building reporting systems and dashboards to track product performance, delivery metrics, customer outcomes, and operational KPIs.
  • Partnering with Product leadership to improve decision-making through data analysis, insights, and business intelligence.
  • Optimizing product development lifecycle processes including intake, prioritization, release management, and post-launch reviews.
  • Leading tooling and systems strategy for product management platforms, workflows, and documentation standards.
  • Facilitating cross-functional communication and alignment to ensure organizational transparency and execution consistency.
  • Identifying operational bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives including organizational scaling, change management, and process transformation.
  • Managing and mentoring Product Operations team members and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
