About The Position

Lila Sciences is hiring a Director, Product Marketing, Life Sciences to own go-to-market for our life science product portfolio. You will set positioning and launch strategy for closed-loop AI and autonomous lab capabilities, including mRNA design, DNA construct optimization, and AI-driven medicinal chemistry. The audience is senior and technical: biopharma and advanced therapy companies, R&D and CMC leaders, data science teams, and scientific IT. Your job is to make complex science legible and commercially compelling, then build the evidence that moves prospects from curiosity to committed programs. You will work as an individual contributor embedded with the LS Product team, partnering closely with Commercial, Business Development, and Brand. Success looks like a coherent portfolio narrative, a real plan behind every major capability launch, and a field team equipped to sell.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product marketing, including portfolio-level ownership at a technical company
  • Track record launching complex scientific or AI products to biopharma and R&D buyers
  • Working knowledge of the life science value chain, discovery through early development
  • Ability to translate AI and lab automation concepts into credible commercial narratives
  • Exceptional writing, with examples aimed at scientific and executive audiences
  • Proven influence across Product, Commercial, and Brand without formal authority
  • Experience supporting or leading sales motions into top 20 pharma accounts

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, bioengineering, or a related field
  • Experience marketing lab automation, assay platforms, or AI-driven discovery tools
  • Familiarity with CMC, translational, or bioinformatics buying processes
  • Early-stage experience where the category and product are still being defined

Responsibilities

  • Own go-to-market strategy for the full life science product portfolio
  • Define positioning for RNA, DNA, protein, and small molecule capabilities
  • Lead launches end to end, from pilot framing through general availability and expansion
  • Build offer constructs with Product and Commercial, including pilot scopes and access models
  • Turn pilots into case studies that show measurable scientific impact
  • Equip Commercial and BD with narrative decks, talk tracks, and competitive positioning
  • Synthesize customer and competitive signal into prioritization recommendations for Product
