Director, Product Management
About The Position
This role is responsible for defining and evolving the enterprise IT product management and delivery strategy in alignment with Express Employment International's business objectives and IT strategy. The Director will ensure product direction, delivery practices, and quality standards operate as an integrated system. They will translate business strategy into a coherent portfolio of product investments, delivery priorities, and improvement initiatives. This position provides direct leadership and coaching to the Managers of Delivery Methods, Product Ownership, and Quality Assurance, setting clear expectations, outcomes, and accountability. The Director will establish consistent leadership rhythms, performance expectations, and development paths across these functions, fostering a culture of collaboration, servant leadership, and continuous improvement. They will ensure strong, consistent product ownership practices, including clear product vision, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment, and partner with business and IT leaders to guide roadmap development, investment trade-offs, and value realization. The role also oversees delivery methods and Agile practices to ensure teams have the necessary structure, coaching, and support for predictable and sustainable delivery, and promotes modern QA approaches. The Director will establish and maintain portfolio-level metrics and insights for visibility into product value, delivery health, and quality outcomes, and communicate clearly with executive and senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, technology delivery, or related IT leadership roles.
Responsibilities

- Hold product teams accountable for delivering outcomes that support enterprise strategy and operational excellence.
- Oversee delivery methods and Agile practices.
- Ensure delivery methods scale appropriately across multiple teams.
- Identify systemic delivery impediments and partner with IT leadership to remove organizational barriers.
- Provide executive oversight of Quality Assurance practices.
- Promote modern QA approaches, including early testing, automation, and close collaboration with delivery teams.
- Ensure quality metrics are meaningful, transparent, and used to drive continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain portfolio-level metrics and insights.
- Communicate clearly with executive and senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities.
