About The Position

This role involves full ownership of Jobber's Marketing Agent, an AI-native product designed to act as a dedicated marketing resource for service providers. The Director will define the product vision, lead a team of Product Managers, and drive outcomes across a portfolio with significant commercial weight. This is Jobber's first agentic product and a key part of their AI roadmap, influencing how Jobber builds AI, defines quality for AI-driven products, and establishes trust in AI actions. The product scope includes review management, online presence, AI-generated campaigns, lead capture, reputation tools, and agentic workflows. The Director will collaborate with Engineering, Design, Analytics, GTM, and the AI platform team. Success will be measured by increased marketing activity by service providers, higher activation on marketing features, customer growth attributed to the platform, and strong trust metrics. The role requires defining responsible AI action in a context where errors can have significant financial consequences for small businesses.

Requirements

  • Built and shipped an AI-native product where intelligence is central to the value.
  • Understand what it means to define quality when the output is non-deterministic and the stakes are real.
  • Led through genuine ambiguity and know how to make hard calls without defaulting to lower standards or cutting scope too early.
  • Understand SMB customers, their workflows, and their constraints.
  • Ability to take incomplete data, emerging patterns, and undefined baselines and turn them into clear decisions.
  • Honest about uncertainty and direct about reasoning.
  • Strong commercial judgment.
  • Ability to connect product strategy to customer value and business outcomes.
  • Owned metrics that mattered.
  • Led and developed teams of 5 or more Product Managers.
  • 8 or more years of product management experience.
  • Direct ownership of commercial outcomes in a SaaS environment.

Nice To Haves

  • MarTech or CRM experience is helpful.
  • Experience in vertical SaaS and serving SMBs matters more.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of Jobber's Marketing Agent, from vision to execution.
  • Lead a team of Product Managers.
  • Set the direction for the Marketing Agent product.
  • Drive outcomes across a portfolio with real commercial weight.
  • Define what quality looks like when AI is generating content and taking action on behalf of a customer's business.
  • Define the product scope, including review management, online presence, AI-generated campaigns, lead capture, reputation tools, and agentic workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Engineering, Design, Analytics, GTM, and the broader AI platform team.
  • Define what responsible AI action looks like in a context where getting it wrong costs a small business real money.
  • Develop a multi-year vision for the Marketing Agent product.
  • Align a cross-functional team around a product direction.
  • Make hard calls in a space where the playbook doesn't fully exist yet.
  • Own commercial outcomes in a SaaS environment.
  • Lead and develop teams of 5 or more Product Managers.
  • Build a strong product culture.
