Myant is seeking a highly strategic and forward-thinking Director, Product & Human-Centred AI Design & Experience to lead and evolve our UX/UI, product design, and human-centered experience capabilities across our growing portfolio of digital health, connected device, and AI-enabled products.
This role sits at the intersection of: Product Design, Human-Centered AI, Digital Health Innovation, UX/UI Systems, Emerging Technologies, Behavioral & Data-Driven Experiences.
We are looking for a design leader who combines exceptional product and experience design expertise with systems thinking, innovation leadership, and a deep understanding of how AI will transform human interaction, decision-making, and healthcare experiences.
This individual will play a critical role in defining how users, clinicians, researchers, and enterprise partners engage with Myant’s technologies across software, hardware, wearable systems, data platforms, and intelligent experiences.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable: shaping long-term design vision, mentoring multidisciplinary design teams, collaborating with product, engineering, clinical, and AI teams, and driving high-quality execution in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in UX/UI, product design, human-centered design, or experience design leadership roles.
• Proven experience building and leading high-performing design teams in complex product environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic product thinking, UX/UI excellence, systems design, and innovation leadership.
• Experience designing for AI-enabled products, data-rich platforms, or intelligent systems.
• Experience working within fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly collaborative environments.
• Deep expertise in: UX/UI Design, Product Design, Human-Centered Design, Design Systems, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, User Research, Service Design, AI Experience Design.
• Strong understanding of modern design tools, workflows, and collaborative product development methodologies.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards, usability principles, and regulated or high-trust environments is an asset.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced interdisciplinary design education and a strong foundation in systems thinking, human-centred innovation, and emerging technology.
• Graduate or postgraduate education in areas such as Strategic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Digital Futures, Experience Design, Service Design, Computational Design, or AI-enabled design is strongly preferred.
• Educational backgrounds from institutions recognized for innovation-led and interdisciplinary design practices, including OCAD University, Sheridan College, and comparable global programs are highly valued.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: Digital Health, Healthcare Technology, Medical Devices, Wearables / Connected Devices, Enterprise SaaS, Fintech, AI / Machine Learning Products, Innovation Labs or Emerging Technology Organizations.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Myant’s human-centered product and experience design strategy across digital platforms, AI-enabled systems, and connected health technologies.
• Build and scale a modern UX/UI and product design function that balances innovation, usability, accessibility, safety, and business outcomes.
• Establish design standards, frameworks, systems, and governance that enable consistency and scalability across products and teams.
• Champion a culture of experimentation, systems thinking, and continuous user learning.
• Lead the design vision for AI-enabled user experiences, including intelligent workflows, personalization, predictive insights, conversational interfaces, and data-driven experiences.
• Ensure AI-powered experiences are intuitive, ethical, transparent, and human-centered.
• Partner closely with AI, data science, and engineering teams to translate complex technologies into meaningful user experiences.
• Explore emerging interaction paradigms including ambient computing, wearable experiences, and intelligent health ecosystems.
• Oversee end-to-end product and experience design from discovery and research through prototyping, validation, and delivery.
• Drive UX/UI excellence across web, mobile, enterprise, clinician, and connected-device experiences.
• Lead user research initiatives to deeply understand patient, clinician, enterprise, and consumer needs.
• Ensure products meet high standards for accessibility, usability, inclusivity, and design quality.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary design team including UX, UI, interaction, visual, systems, and research practitioners.
• Foster a collaborative, psychologically safe, and high-performing design culture.
• Help recruit and develop top-tier design talent.
• Elevate design maturity and strategic influence across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, Research, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams.
• Translate complex technical, clinical, and business requirements into cohesive user experiences.
• Influence organizational strategy through customer-centered thinking and evidence-based design decisions.
• Elevate design into a strategic organizational capability.
• Help define how AI and connected technologies improve human health experiences.
• Build scalable systems and experiences that unify Myant’s ecosystem.
• Inspire teams through thoughtful leadership, innovation, and design excellence.
• Shape products that meaningfully impact the future of healthcare and human performance.
