The Product Development group at Cell Signaling Technology (CST) is responsible for applying rigorous scientific methods to design, develop, validate, and commercialize antibodies, assays, and other reagents that address unmet needs in basic and translational biomedical research. The organization aims to provide customers with innovative, industry-leading solutions to accelerate their research, leading to enhanced biological understanding and improved human health. The Director, Immunology Product Development leads a team of scientists in building a globally competitive portfolio of reagents and assays in Immunology for both academic and biopharma customer segments. This role requires the individual to be a recognized domain expert in immunology, applying their expertise to refine company strategic objectives and ensure portfolio development aligns with the company's mission and goals. The Director must maintain an up-to-date understanding of trends in basic and translational immunology and assay technologies, communicating these effectively to stakeholders. In collaboration with sales and marketing, the Director's team will drive new product development and identify strategic opportunities based on domain and market expertise. Extensive engagement with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging a broad network, will support portfolio and business expansion. The Director will also have access to laboratory resources to contribute to internal immunology research, including hypothesis generation, experimental design, and data interpretation, guiding bench scientists on data intended for publication.
