About The Position

Ramp is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead a team of builders focused on high-priority product areas. This role involves defining product vision, setting design direction, and driving customer impact through strong product judgment and design craft. The ideal candidate will have experience leading and developing design teams, a track record of shipping impactful products, and a deep understanding of customer needs. The role requires comfort with ambiguity and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, automating spend management for businesses. The company culture emphasizes high agency, urgency, and a builder mentality, with a focus on creating systems that shape how companies manage billions. This position requires in-person work at the NYC HQ at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of product designers
  • Own product vision and design direction across critical AI-native product areas

  • Stay close to customers and use their feedback to guide product decisions
  • Jump into the work when needed to unblock teams and accelerate progress
  • Create clarity, raise quality, and help teams ship faster
  • Raise the bar for product thinking, interaction design, systems thinking, and craft
  • Coach designers through clear feedback, high standards, and strong mentorship
  • Help define how design works in an AI-native world
  • Build strong partnerships across product, engineering, data, and design
