About The Position

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Product Designer to join our AI Hub. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact by acting as a subject matter expert, fine-tuning your expertise, and using professional concepts to resolve complex issues. You will determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of others. You will provide comprehensive consultation to management and staff related to user research, usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies, and heuristic evaluations. You will review documentation of research findings, define and review new and modified user personas, and participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules. You will lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to increase user effectiveness, consult on and interpret user feedback and insights to improve the user experience, and serve as reviewer of usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations for use. You will provide UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process utilizing multiple sources of information. You will act as principal consult and lead the creation and updating of user interface and visual design guidelines and standards. You will advocate for user-centered design and the value of standardized design systems across the firm and facilities training for groups outside the UX team. You will ensure that the developed/revised product achieves the user's specified goals by establishing user-centered analysis, design, best practices, and standards. You will lead a range of complex projects that dictate team success, with internal and cross-functional outcomes that requires in-depth analysis and evaluation of variable factors. You will build strong relationships with people on your immediate team and across the company, know key stakeholders and peers to understand the connection of your own work, and create formal networks with key decision makers and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
  • 12 or more years of experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Responsibilities
