About The Position

The Director, Procurement Operations leads the transformation and scale of Lennar’s end-to-end procurement operating model — spanning vendor onboarding, requisition approval, purchase order execution, and change order resolution. Partnering across Finance, IT, Legal, and business leadership, this role drives AI adoption, workflow automation, and data-driven performance management to deliver compliance, visibility, and operational efficiency at enterprise scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive procurement, procure-to-pay, finance operations, or supply chain experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing PR, PO, and change order workflows and scaling procurement operations in enterprise or high-growth environments.
  • Proven track record deploying procurement transformation, automation, or AI procurement solutions at scale.
  • Experience supporting governance, internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness in public-company or SOX-controlled environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with procure-to-pay and ERP platforms such as Zip, JD Edwards, NetSuite, or Coupa.
  • CPSM or CPM certification preferred.
  • Executive presence and proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Strategic mindset paired with operational execution expertise; strong analytical, systems-thinking, and process-optimization capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and change management skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive scalable operational transformation in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation and scale of Lennar’s end-to-end procurement operating model — spanning vendor onboarding, requisition approval, purchase order execution, and change order resolution.
  • Own and optimize enterprise procurement workflows, policies, approval hierarchies, and governance frameworks across divisions in partnership with Finance, IT, Accounting, Legal, and business leadership.
  • Establish procurement governance standards, internal controls, policy compliance frameworks, and audit-readiness processes that scale with enterprise growth.
  • Build and empower a high-performing procurement operations organization of managers, specialists, and partners focused on operational excellence and stakeholder experience.
  • Govern the full PR-to-PO lifecycle — intake, approval routing, conversion, and closure — with a focus on cycle-time optimization and spend authorization compliance.
  • Ensure PO accuracy, contract alignment, and audit readiness across legal entities, currencies, and accounting treatment, driving overall PO compliance.
  • Establish change order protocols covering documentation, pricing validation, budget impact, approvals, and escalation paths to minimize unauthorized or late-stage change orders.
  • Drive vendor lifecycle management, renewals governance, and spend optimization in partnership with sourcing and business stakeholders.
  • Lead evaluation and operationalization of AI-powered tools and workflow automation across PR/PO routing, invoice matching, exception management, and supplier intelligence; partner with IT to integrate P2P and ERP capabilities.
  • Own the procurement operations KPI portfolio — cycle time, throughput, PO on-time delivery, change order rate, spend under management, policy compliance, and supplier performance — and deliver executive-level reporting that informs strategic decision-making.
