An Average Day: (Includes, but not limited to) You’ll be the strategic and operational leader of procurement, responsible for: Building & Scaling Procurement Strategy Develop and execute a procurement business plan aligned with organizational goals Establish long-term strategies that improve efficiency, standardization, and cost control Design and implement a centralized procurement program across the organization Vendor & Contract Management Lead all vendor relationships — from selection to performance management Own contract negotiation, ensuring favorable pricing, terms, and SLAs Partner with legal to oversee contract development, tracking, and compliance Drive accountability for vendor performance and value realization Financial & Data-Driven Decision Making Analyze organizational spend vs. contracted rates to identify cost savings and opportunities Provide executive-level insights on vendor performance, spend trends, and contract status Translate complex procurement and financial data into clear, actionable recommendations Operational Excellence Ensure field teams have access to the supplies and services they need — when they need them Oversee procurement systems (including Coupa) and ensure adoption and optimization Partner with Accounts Payable to streamline purchasing and payment workflows Manage bids, proposals, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation Process Improvement & Enablement Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and training programs Serve as the go-to expert for procurement guidance across departments Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, compliance, and value
