About The Position

The Director, Procurement and Supply Chain is responsible for the procurement strategy and logistics for all capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including new construction and site expansions. This centralized function ensures strategic procurement and seamless coordination with the finance department for budget forecasting. The ultimate goal is to optimize spending and ensure the timely delivery of the materials and equipment needed for construction.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain consulting.
  • Proven track record in business development and growing an advisory practice.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field considered.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale transformation projects end to end.
  • Deep understanding of global supply chain trends, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to think independently and solve problems
  • Collaborative team player; clear and proactive communicator
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Advanced written and verbal skills used to translate complex field data into high-level briefings for executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and enforce a robust procurement governance framework, establishing standardized policies, approval matrices, and process controls to scale efficiently with organizational growth.
  • Champion the selection, deployment, and operational adoption of a centralized contract management tool. Ensure meticulously accurate records of all contracts and leverage spend data analytics to inform future sourcing decisions.
  • Ensure all procured equipment and materials strictly adhere to technical engineering specifications, safety standards, and local regulatory requirements prior to site delivery.
  • Own end-to-end pricing, terms, and delivery timelines. Move beyond initial purchase price by utilizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models—factoring in energy efficiency, maintenance, and lifecycle costs—to rigorously evaluate quotes and negotiate contracts.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, pricing volatility, and supplier capacity. Develop robust risk mitigation strategies, including comprehensive supplier financial vetting, dual-sourcing, and contingency planning to prevent supply chain bottlenecks.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of all operational maintenance and service contracts. Drive the standardization of facility services across the portfolio, proactively manage contract renewals, and establish KPIs to rigorously evaluate ongoing vendor performance.
  • Oversee delivery schedules for all critical equipment to guarantee on-time arrival for a rapidly expanding portfolio. Develop and execute a comprehensive inventory strategy, allocating assets across sites to align seamlessly with construction sequencing.
  • Partner closely with Construction, Operations, and Finance leadership to align procurement strategies with aggressive site expansion goals.
