About The Position

Directs and oversees the privacy and compliance program and its daily operations, including but not limited to: development, implementation, and maintenance of applicable policies and procedures, monitoring program compliance, investigation and tracking of incidents and breaches and insuring patients' rights in compliance with applicable federal and state laws. Works to ensure roles, responsibilities, and results are efficiently coordinated and collectively optimizing the effectiveness of the privacy program and compliance operations.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in privacy and compliance program management, including management of teams.
  • Bachelors and Juris Doctor degree.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in state and federal information privacy laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, Information Blocking, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in compliance program management.
  • Critical Thinking and Analysis
  • A high level of integrity and trust
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Thorough knowledge of general accepted internal auditing standards and techniques
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical and project management skills.
  • Able to maintain positive team relationships by demonstrating and supporting initiative, willingness to listen, willingness to learn, flexibility, respect, cooperation, honest and trustworthy, good customer service, and a commitment to the success of the privacy and compliance department.
  • Current licensure to practice law in the State of Wisconsin, or be eligible to seek admission to practice in Wisconsin.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications in privacy or compliance.
  • Healthcare operational, and/or financial skills are a plus.
