About The Position

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Corporate Director of Privacy Compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Privacy Compliance Program under the Privacy Officer’s oversight. Manages daily operations of the Privacy Compliance Program and works collaboratively with executive leadership, clinical operations, information technology, human resources, and community leadership to support compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), state privacy laws, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, and other applicable healthcare regulations. Functions as a key member of the compliance leadership team and assists the Privacy Officer in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, protection, and lawful use of resident Protected Health Information (PHI).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience within a skilled nursing, healthcare compliance, audit, or regulatory environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state privacy requirements, operational policies and procedures, and healthcare compliance practices.
  • Certification in HIPAA Privacy is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • An active Registered Nurse (RN) license is preferred.
  • Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Privacy Compliance Program under the Privacy Officer’s oversight.
  • Managing daily operations of the Privacy Compliance Program.
