About The Position

The Director, Prime Services Product Development will have a primary mandate to build and scale a seamless Cash and Synthetic Prime Brokerage platform. The role will own the product roadmap, operating model, and delivery agenda across arranged financing, cross-margin, collateral optimization, client workflow, Capital / Liquidity reporting and platform modernization. This is a senior product role requiring deep Prime Brokerage experience, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to connect client demand with scalable platform delivery, regulatory capital / liquidity discipline, and enterprise risk governance.

Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.

7-10 years related experience

Nice To Haves

Minimum 7-10+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years directly in Prime Brokerage, Securities Financing, Equity Finance, DeltaOne or Prime Services product development.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Cash Prime Brokerage, Synthetic Prime Brokerage, arranged financing, hedge fund financing, margin methodologies, collateral workflows, Securities Financing, and client lifecycle processes.
Demonstrated expertise in Basel requirements, RWA, leverage exposure, liquidity, counterparty credit risk, balance sheet constraints, and their impact on Prime Brokerage product design.
Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional platform initiatives from strategy and requirements through implementation, controls, and commercialization.
Strong executive communication, analytical problem-solving, stakeholder management, and influencing skills in a matrixed Capital Markets environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of Arranged Financing platform and drive the business strategy to deliver clients a unified Cash and Synthetic Prime Brokerage platform
Build scalable capabilities across client onboarding, margining, cross-margin, collateral optimization, financing workflows, client reporting, and operating controls.
Partner with Sales, Trading, Treasury, Risk, Finance, Operations, Regulatory Reporting, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Strats to translate business strategy into deliverable platform capabilities.
Own business requirements, prioritization, implementation oversight, testing, controls, launch readiness, and senior management reporting for strategic product initiatives.
Liaises with the Banks other operations in New York to assist in meeting the Banks objectives
Strict adherence personally and at a desk level to the firms procedures
Fully informed on market data, economic information and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards at all times to assist in maximizing profitability through sound and well informed decisions
Develops and maintains contacts with market participants
Responsible for practicing and communicating bank policy information and strategy between your product head and relevant trading personnel
Understands and complies with TD Securities (USA) Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring that transactions are fully documented and processed accurately and in a timely manner
Responsible for being aware of and understanding the approved Business Strategies (Strategic Business Reviews SBRs), applicable to your business, and ensuring that all of your business dealings are in alignment with these strategies

If you are a Trader or are in a Hybrid role, in your capacity as a Trader, you are bound by the Market Risk Policies applicable to your business and are responsible for being aware of and understanding the approved Trading Strategies (associated with the respective Market Risk Policies) applicable to your business, and ensuring that all of your trading activity is in alignment with those Strategies
If you are a Trader or are in a Hybrid role, in your capacity as a Trader or Trading Supervisor of an employee acting in a Trading capacity, you are responsible for ensuring that trades are entered into the trading system on a timely basis and for ensuring that positions are appropriately valued
If you are in a Sales or Hybrid role, in your Sales role capacity, you must obtain a current market price from an appropriate trader, either verbally or electronically, prior to entering into a binding transaction
Bound by Credit Risk Policies and procedures, as they apply to your business and are responsible for being aware of and understanding such policies and procedures and ensuring that trading activity is in line with those policies
