About The Position

The Director of Pricing & Analytics is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing pricing strategies across the organization’s medical device portfolio. This individual will combine deep industry knowledge with advanced analytical capabilities to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and competitive positioning. The role requires a strong leader who can build and mentor high-performing teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and translate complex data into actionable business insights within a highly regulated and dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, or commercial strategy within the medical device or broader healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of medical device markets, reimbursement systems, and healthcare provider economics.
  • Strong analytical expertise, including experience with pricing tools, data visualization platforms, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term execution.
  • Exceptional communicator who can translate complex data into compelling business narratives.
  • Results-driven leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the company’s global pricing strategy aligned with business objectives, market dynamics, and regulatory considerations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on pricing, reimbursement trends, and market access challenges within the medical device industry.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing pricing and analytics team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement value-based pricing models that reflect clinical, economic, and competitive differentiation.
  • Lead price setting, discount governance, and contract optimization across IDNs, GPOs, hospitals, and outpatient channels.
  • Partner with commercial teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively executed in the field while maintaining compliance.
  • Oversee the development of analytical frameworks to assess pricing performance, elasticity, profitability, and customer segmentation.
  • Leverage data to identify opportunities for margin expansion, revenue growth, and portfolio optimization.
  • Drive adoption of advanced analytics tools, dashboards, and predictive models to enhance decision-making.
  • Maintain deep understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement landscapes (e.g., Medicare, private payers), and regulatory requirements impacting pricing.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and technological advancements to inform strategic decisions.
  • Integrate health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) insights into pricing and value communication strategies.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Market Access, Regulatory, and Product Development teams to align pricing strategies with broader business goals.
  • Support new product launches with robust pricing, value proposition, and market access strategies.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels through clear communication of data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Establish and enforce pricing governance frameworks to ensure consistency, transparency, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Mitigate pricing risks related to audits, contracting, and global market variations.
