The Director, Practice Management is a senior leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the end-to-end onboarding experience for new advisors, as well as elevating the performance and operational excellence of existing advisor practices. This role partners closely with the Vice President, Investment and Wealth Advisory Group and Regional Managers ensure advisors are effectively integrated, supported and positioned for long term success. The mandate includes driving scalable practice management strategies, improving advisor productivity, and enhancing the overall client experience across the Investment and Wealth Advisory Group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA or advanced designation is an asset)
  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management, financial services or advisor facing role.
  • Significant experience in advisor onboarding, practice management and business transformation.
  • Strong understanding of financial advisor business models and practice management.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and compliance frameworks within financial services

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead best in class onboarding program for new advisors and teams.
  • Ensure a seamless, efficient and positive onboarding experience that accelerates time to productivity.
  • Continuously refine onboarding process based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive practice management program to support advisor growth and scalability.
  • Establish standard best practices across business planning, client segmentation, service models and workflow.
  • Provide tools, resources, and training to enhance advisor effectiveness and operational efficiencies.
  • Coach advisors on sales strategies, pipeline management and client engagements.
  • Drive adoption of consistent process and disciplines across advisor practices.
  • Ensure advisor practices operate efficiently and in alignment with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Regional Managers to identify performance gaps and implement targeted improvement strategies.
  • Develop coaching framework and performance benchmarks for advisor practices.
  • Support advisors in scaling business their business, improve profitability and enhance client engagement.
  • Attract new Financial Advisors to the program through networking and pro-active outreach.
  • Champion technology adoption and integration to improve advisor and client experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment across systems, process and support functions.
  • Act as a advisor to senior leadership on advisor experience, onboarding effectiveness and practice performance.
