About The Position

Palmetto General Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Plant Operations with experience in a hospital setting to join our leadership team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assigned department, ensuring that all functions are carried out efficiently and to the highest standard of excellence.

Requirements

Experience in a hospital setting required
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally with all levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred
Master's degree in a related field preferred
Minimum two years of management experience preferred
Minimum five years of supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

Overseeing the daily operations of the assigned department, ensuring that all functions are carried out efficiently and to the highest standard of excellence.
Demonstrate productive and efficient management skills.
Excel in identifying and controlling critical cost elements while promoting quality awareness.
Formulate departmental budgets and ensure adherence to established standards.
Implement performance improvement initiatives and monitor staff performance.
Collaborate with staff, physicians, and the Chief Operating Officer to ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient care standards.
