About The Position

The Director, Plant Controlling position is responsible for the financial controlling functions at the Grand Island Facility. This role serves as a strategic partner to plant management, providing accurate and timely financial and operational information and analysis to support the organization's financial goals. The position directs financial insights to drive strategic projects focused on cost reduction, risk mitigation, efficiency improvements, and ROI enhancement at the Grand Island facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, inventories, GAAP, computer systems and SAP
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software (SAP, Oracle or similar)
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results.
  • Typically requires 10+ years’ experience in progressively challenging accounting/finance positions.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the plant with financial leadership, insight and business acumen in support of operational decision with recommendations based on empirical data and business experience.
  • Develop the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for P&L, EBIT, all plant department budgets (headcount and expenses), and plant-wide capital budgets.
  • Coordinate analysis of the plant’s actual and planned performance to achieve budgeted/forecasted goals and recommend alternate courses of action.
  • Implement and maintain Fresenius Kabi standards.
  • Preparation of standard costs for all items produced at the facility.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of monthly financial close and analysis.
  • Communicate monthly and weekly results through reports, presentations, and organizational meetings.
  • Safeguard plant assets through development and implementation of procedures to ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with corporate policy and GAAP.
  • Summarize the location’s exposure for obsolescence by coordinating quarterly review of inventory with the materials management function.
  • Develop internal accounting reports that appraise management of the plants activity, including coordination of training to ensure management understanding and compliance.
  • Supervise Accounting/Payroll staff as needed.
  • Develop cost estimates for potential new products.
  • Ensure compliance with company documents, programs, and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management System as per roles and responsibilities.
