About The Position

Directs care and services for Perioperative Services (Surgery, PACU, SDS, PAT, Sterile Processing, Endoscopy and Anesthesia Services). Ensures a high level of quality care and services for patients by coordinating, communicating, and collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia providers. Administrative responsibilities include planning, organizing, leading, coaching and coordinating the overall work of the perioperative services staff within the department on a 24-hour basis in order to provide quality patient-centered care. Responsibilities also include preparation of and accountability for annual budget for the department as well as variance analysis as requested. Promotes departmental and inter-departmental teamwork and respect. Assists in direct patient care if needed to staff the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • At least five years of experience in a perioperative management role.
  • At least five years of experience as an OR Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • CNOR Certification preferred
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Experience with EPIC preferred.
  • Experience in Sterile Processing
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education for certain jobs.
