About The Position

The Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG) is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, People and Culture to join its Executive Leadership Team. This role will lead the development and delivery of a contemporary people strategy that supports organizational performance, workforce capability, and cultural transformation. The position requires an accomplished executive leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. The Director will be responsible for leading people and culture functions within a complex organization, designing and implementing workforce, culture, and organizational development strategies, and managing industrial and employee relations. This role also involves leading major change, reform, or transformation programs, engaging stakeholders, and providing strategic advice to executives and boards on complex people matters. A collaborative leadership style with a focus on capability development, accountability, and continuous improvement is essential.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent knowledge and workplace experience.
  • Significant experience at an executive level in the design, delivery, and management of integrated people and culture programs, workforce management strategies, change and transformation and human resource service delivery.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in managing a large and complex human resources and industrial relations portfolio to achieve organisational outcomes.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • Satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.
