About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Director of People Experience to lead all Human Resources and People Operations functions for a growing, multi-site organization. This role oversees the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding through training, engagement, employee relations, payroll coordination, compliance, benefits, and retention. The Director of People Experience will partner closely with executive leadership to build a high-performing workforce, create scalable HR processes, improve employee engagement, and ensure compliance across all locations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, developing people, and driving operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
  • Experience managing HR for a multi-site organization.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Experience with recruiting, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and training.
  • Experience partnering with payroll and workforce management preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Bilingual English & Spanish is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all Human Resources and People Operations functions across multiple locations.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, workforce planning, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Develop employee engagement, retention, recognition, and company culture initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management.
  • Oversee onboarding, orientation, training, leadership development, and career growth programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Manage HR policies, employee documentation, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, leave administration, and employee records.
  • Partner with Accounting on payroll accuracy, timekeeping, overtime monitoring, and payroll audits.
  • Oversee employee benefits administration, open enrollment, PTO, and leave programs.
  • Support union and prevailing wage compliance where applicable.
  • Develop HR metrics and reporting related to hiring, retention, turnover, engagement, and workforce planning.
  • Build scalable HR systems, processes, and employee programs that support continued organizational growth.
