About The Position

The PDS Project Director leads construction projects from conception through completion, serving as the primary client relationship manager and strategic project leader. This senior-level position requires exceptional leadership skills, deep construction and real estate knowledge, and the ability to manage multi-million-dollar projects while ensuring client satisfaction and business profitability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience of large construction projects.
  • Must possess exceptional supervisory skills
  • Knowledge in the preparation of estimates, budgets management, timetables, and resources allocation for construction projects.
  • Must be able to proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety practices in the construction area.
  • Excellent communicator (English /Spanish) and comfortable managing multiple tasks with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and expand our client portfolio across key markets.
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities, cultivate relationships with corporate clients, developers, and investors, and position JLL PDS as the partner of choice for program management, project management, and development advisory services.
  • Collaborate closely with technical delivery teams to craft compelling proposals, lead client presentations, and translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project delivery strategies for large-scale real estate developments, tenant improvements. and construction projects.
  • Establish project vision. scope, and success metrics while ensuring alignment with client objectives and business goals.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client stakeholders, maintaining strategic relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Present project updates, recommendations, and solutions to executive-level clients.
  • Proactive! identify opportunities to expand client relationships and secure additional project work.
  • Oversee project budgets ranging from$ 500K to $ l0M+, ensuring cost control and profitability targets.
  • Develop accurate project forecasts, manage cash flow and approve major expenditures.
  • Support business development efforts through client presentations. proposal development, and market intelligence gathering.
  • Lead and mentor project management staff, including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and administrative support.
  • Provide guidance on technical issues, career development. and project best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes professional growth and high performance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout all phases of delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes. safety regulations. and company quality standards.
  • Develop contingency plans and lead crisis resolution when issues arise.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships including property owners and tenants. regulatory agencies. utility companies. and community groups.
  • Coordinate permitting processes, public hearings, and regulatory approvals.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all project parties.
