About The Position

The Director, Payer Relations develops and executes U.S. payer engagement strategies to secure, expand, and sustain appropriate coding, coverage, payment, and patient access for Inspire’s current and future medical technologies. The role builds strategic relationships with national and regional commercial health plans, Medicare and Medicaid stakeholders, Medicare Administrative Contractors, integrated delivery networks, and other payer decision makers. In partnership with cross-functional teams, the Director translates clinical evidence, economic value, and customer insight into account strategies and access outcomes. The position leads payer account planning and engagement, monitors payer policies and reimbursement pathways, identifies adoption barriers, and partners with experts on coverage, coding, and payment strategies. It also shapes evidence-generation priorities, develops payer value communications and access tools, and facilitates payer advisory boards and executive discussions. The Director coordinates launch-readiness and lifecycle initiatives, shares payer intelligence and recommendations with leadership, and trains internal stakeholders on payer policy, reimbursement, value messaging, and compliant engagement. The role may lead employees, consultants, or project teams. This is a fully remote position with travel of up to 75%, including occasional overnight travel. Success is measured by progress toward favorable payer policies and reduced access barriers; the quality and strategic value of payer relationships; completion and effectiveness of account plans, launch milestones, and evidence deliverables; timely communication and cross-functional execution; and compliance with company requirements.
