About The Position

Pathologists in the research Pathobiology Department work in cross functional partnerships to meet drug development needs for discovery research, clinical biomarkers, reverse translation, and post marketing support. The primary focus of this position is to work with oncology and inflammation drug development programs to provide expertise on tissue-based endpoints, therapeutic target validation, preclinical models in the context of relevant human disease, and the applicability of emerging technologies to specific program needs.

Requirements

• MD or DVM with pathology residency training and specialty board certification
• Strong pathology background
• Appropriate scientific training
• Strong formal and informal communication skills (oral and written)
• Collaborative temperament
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving technical and regulatory environment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to navigate open-ended problems

Nice To Haves

• PhD or research fellowship is highly desirable
• Previous industry experience is beneficial but not required
• Familiarity with or interest in clinical biomarkers
• Familiarity with or interest in reverse translational research
• Familiarity with or interest in large molecule drug development
• Familiarity with or interest in digital pathology ML/AI

Responsibilities
