About The Position

The Director, Opportunity Management is responsible for leading Skyline Displays’ opportunity qualification, evaluation, and governance processes. This role ensures that business development resources are focused on opportunities that align with Skyline’s strategic objectives, operational capabilities, and profitability goals. Working closely with Growth, Marketing, Design, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership, this leader develops and manages processes that improve decision-making, increase win rates, and drive disciplined growth. The Director serves as the primary owner of opportunity intake, prioritization, resource alignment, and pursuit governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, sales operations, opportunity management, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience managing complex sales opportunities and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within exhibit design, trade show services, experiential marketing, branded environments, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Experience supporting national account growth initiatives.
  • Knowledge of strategic account planning and pipeline management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead intake and evaluation of inbound sales opportunities, RFPs, RFQs, and strategic pursuits.
  • Develop and maintain qualification criteria, scoring methodologies, and go/no-go processes.
  • Assess strategic fit, revenue potential, profitability, resource requirements, timing, and risk.
  • Facilitate executive review and decision-making for significant opportunities.
  • Monitor opportunity pipeline health and recommend prioritization strategies.
  • Partner with Growth, Marketing, Design, Operations, Project Management, and Finance teams.
  • Coordinate resource planning to support qualified pursuits.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and Skyline's operational capabilities.
  • Facilitate communication and accountability throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Monitor pipeline trends, conversion rates, opportunity volume, and resource utilization.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership based on data analysis.
  • Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Standardize opportunity management practices across the organization.
  • Develop scalable workflows and governance processes.
  • Leverage CRM and technology platforms to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that support sustainable growth.
  • Recruit, develop, and coach team members.
  • Establish performance expectations and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
