About The Position

The Director of Operations Support & Assets serves as the executive authority for network-wide physical asset management, inventory controls, and campus operational readiness at KIPP Texas Public Schools. The role is accountable for improving the network-wide “I have the supplies and materials to do my job” (Q12) employee engagement metric by designing operational systems that reduce friction and support school and central-office teams. Reporting to the Senior Director Operations Project Management, the Director leads operational frameworks, technology-enabled inventory systems, and asset lifecycles across more than 40 school sites and central-office environments. The position directly manages four Operations Support & Asset Managers across four cities and coordinates with School Leadership, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Talent, Academics, and IT. The role establishes asset strategy and governance, manages non-technology supply chains and workplace logistics, and oversees curriculum and furniture supply chains. It also develops inventory tracking and analytics, audits campus readiness, plans asset replacement cycles, and leads remediation after supply chain failures. The Director develops staff and builds a responsive, service-oriented operational culture. This is a hybrid position, reporting to the central office or schools three days a week, with moderate travel of 15–25% across regions. Reliable transportation is needed for travel between campuses.
