About The Position

The Director of Operations, Supportive & Market Rentals provides leadership for the organization's supportive housing, market rental, and commercial property operations. Reporting to the Executive Director, Operations, the Director leads the Property Operations Lead, Program Managers, and front-line staff, ensuring services are delivered in alignment with feminist, anti-oppressive, and decolonizing principles. The Director oversees operations, budgets, performance, leasing, occupancy, compliance, program development, and funding initiatives to ensure programs and properties align with organizational priorities and funder requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in managing and overseeing operations, preferably in a non-profit or social services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of feminist, anti-oppression, and decolonization theories and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, supervision, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret policies and decisions aligned with organizational mission, vision, and values.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in staff management, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Familiarity with community engagement, public relations, and advocacy activities.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and attend sites outside of normal working hours.
  • All positions are subject to a criminal record check, including vulnerable sector check.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle while on shift.
