About The Position

Centene is seeking a Director, Operations, Population Health & Clinical Operations to lead the development, coordination, and execution of operational strategies and process improvements across shared services. This role supports enterprise and market-level product growth, implementation, and performance objectives by translating strategy into operating plans, facilitating cross-functional alignment, and driving the delivery of new operating models, processes, and capabilities. The individual will be a subject matter expert for the Duals Integration Office, interfacing with Population Health & Clinical Operations. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere in the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • 6+ years experience in assigned products (Medicare or Duals) managed care operations with emphasis on optimizing operational effectiveness, government contracting and/or regulatory compliance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience with project management, administration or operations in the Healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary operational liaison between product leadership, shared services, and corporate partners to ensure alignment, timely decision-making, and issue resolution across enterprise and market operations.
  • Partner with shared services, market leaders, and product teams to define operational strategies, annual objectives, KPIs, and standardized operating procedures that support scalable execution.
  • Support enterprise due diligence, integration planning, and operational readiness activities for product expansions.
  • Monitor enterprise and market operational performance, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities to optimize operations supporting assigned product.
  • Evaluate operational performance using KPIs and ensure cost effective programs are developed and maintained throughout the business unit.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and develop “best practice” workflows, process improvements, policies and procedures.
  • Provide operational input into the development of new products and markets.
  • Utilize corporate and industry standard management tools and techniques to effectively oversee projects; collaborate with stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall stakeholder expectations and business unit objectives.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise across business units and technical areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
