About The Position

The Director serves as a strategic commercial leader and key partner to Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and external agency partners. The role is accountable for integrating market insights, customer needs, clinical data, access dynamics, and competitive intelligence into clear positioning, messaging, channel strategies, and execution plans. This position will initially focus on building Cosette's oncology marketing capabilities and supporting launch readiness for current and future oncology assets. The Director will lead pre-launch / relaunch planning, brand strategy, promotional development, customer engagement, congress strategy, and performance management while ensuring that all activities are compliant, insight-driven, and aligned with business objectives. The Director owns assigned brand performance and marketing execution, including strategic planning, tactical delivery, budget management, agency leadership, and cross-functional alignment. This role is expected to demonstrate strong oncology expertise, enterprise leadership, disciplined execution, and a patient-centered approach to commercialization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or specialty healthcare commercial experience, including significant oncology marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing brand strategies for oncology and other complex specialty products.
  • Launch experience, including pre-launch planning, launch readiness, field enablement, and post-launch optimization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional brand teams and partnering with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Commercial Operations.
  • Experience developing positioning, messaging, promotional strategies, customer engagement programs, and omnichannel initiatives.
  • Experience working with oncology customers, treatment pathways, clinical data, guidelines, and market access dynamics.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, budgets, forecasts, and pharmaceutical promotional review processes.
  • Strong understanding of oncology markets, customer segments, treatment pathways, and the evolving clinical and competitive environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex clinical and market information into actionable commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive oncology brand strategies and annual brand plans aligned with Cosette's portfolio objectives and growth priorities.
  • Lead brand positioning, messaging, value proposition development, customer segmentation, channel strategy, and tactical planning for assigned oncology assets.
  • Translate clinical data, treatment pathways, market dynamics, and customer insights into differentiated commercial strategies.
  • Establish clear strategic priorities, performance objectives, and execution roadmaps for assigned brands.
  • Represent Oncology Marketing in cross-functional governance, business planning, and portfolio decision-making forums.
  • Champion a patient-centered approach that connects brand strategy and execution to meaningful outcomes for patients and families.
  • Partner across the department for Cosette synergies and opportunities.
  • Lead pre-launch and launch planning for oncology products, indications, formulations, and lifecycle initiatives.
  • Develop integrated launch plans, critical-path timelines, readiness assessments, risk mitigation plans, and launch performance dashboards.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Training, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Supply Chain to ensure organizational and market readiness.
  • Ensure positioning, messaging, claims, promotional materials, and field resources are approved and available in advance of key launch milestones.
  • Lead launch workshops, sales meetings, POAs, advisory boards, and cross-functional readiness reviews.
  • Monitor early launch performance and rapidly adapt strategies and tactics based on market response, field insights, and customer behavior.
  • Develop a deep understanding of oncology treatment pathways, lines of therapy, clinical practice patterns, guideline dynamics, and customer decision-making.
  • Lead market research, advisory boards, qualitative and quantitative insight generation, and competitive intelligence activities.
  • Build customer segmentation and engagement strategies for oncologists, hematologists, other specialists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, institutions, IDNs, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations and Analytics to evaluate brand performance, market trends, customer adoption, promotional response, and competitive activity.
  • Translate insights into clear strategic recommendations, growth opportunities, and course corrections.
  • Maintain a current understanding of emerging clinical data, pipeline developments, competitor strategies, and changes in the oncology marketplace.
  • Serve as the primary marketing partner to Oncology Sales leadership and customer-facing teams.
  • Develop field-facing promotional resources, account-based tools, objection handlers, customer engagement materials, and digital content that enable effective execution of brand strategy.
  • Partner with Sales Training to build launch curricula, product training, selling skills programs, and certification requirements.
  • Participate in field rides, customer engagements, and sales leadership discussions to understand execution opportunities and market barriers.
  • Incorporate field insights and customer feedback into brand planning, messaging, and tactical optimization.
  • Support national sales meetings, POAs, regional meetings, recognition programs, and ongoing field communications.
  • Partner closely with Medical Affairs to align commercial strategy with the evolving treatment landscape.
  • Collaborate with Market Access to integrate payer, reimbursement, distribution, coding, guideline, and access considerations into brand strategy and customer resources.
  • Work with Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Compliance to ensure all promotional activities and communications meet applicable requirements and Cosette policies.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial Operations, and other functions to support forecasting, inventory planning, distribution readiness, and successful commercialization.
  • Lead cross-functional brand teams with clear governance, decision-making, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Build strong partnerships across the organization and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Lead strategic development of HCP, patient, caregiver, account, and digital marketing initiatives across appropriate channels.
  • Develop congress, KOL engagement, speaker program, peer-to-peer education, and customer experience strategies in partnership with relevant functions.
  • Manage development of promotional and educational materials through the Medical-Legal-Regulatory review process.
  • Ensure brand initiatives are delivered with high quality, within approved timelines and budgets, and in compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Evaluate channel performance and promotional effectiveness to optimize the customer experience and return on marketing investment.
  • Continuously identify innovative approaches to improve customer engagement and strengthen brand differentiation.
  • Own brand budgets, forecasts, accruals, and investment recommendations for assigned oncology products.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships, including scope development, performance expectations, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure disciplined project management across strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance and Commercial Operations to monitor performance against plan and evaluate investment effectiveness.
  • Establish scalable marketing processes and operating models that support expansion of Cosette's oncology portfolio.
  • Develop and present brand performance updates, strategic recommendations, and business cases to senior leadership.
