This role is a strategic leader responsible for defining and executing Walmart’s approach to tax-advantaged clean energy investments. Leading Walmart’s energy strategy, leveraging tax equity, tax credit transfers, structured finance, and capital partnerships to unlock new generation capacity, influence market development, and mitigate long-term electricity cost exposure is central to this role. This role is at the intersection of corporate strategy, capital markets, and energy infrastructure—shaping Walmart’s position as a leading market participant in clean energy finance. You will drive enterprise alignment, influence stakeholders including developers, financial institutions, and policymakers, and guide investment decisions materially impacting Walmart’s financials and sustainability outcomes. The Offsite Energy Investments team leads Walmart’s grid-connected clean energy initiatives, focusing on tax-advantaged investments, power purchase agreement origination, and managing market exposure in deregulated regions. The team collaborates with developers, utilities, and internal partners to structure transactions that unlock federal tax credits and attract third-party capital. These efforts support new generation capacity, enhance grid reliability, and deliver long-term financial value by mitigating electricity cost exposure. The team plays a key role in advancing Walmart’s energy strategy through strategic partnerships and effective portfolio management in alignment with company goals.
