About The Position

The Maine Legislature is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of the Office of Legislative Information Technology. This is a full-time, nonpartisan, senior management position with responsibility for directing one of several nonpartisan staff offices that work under the overall direction of the Executive Director of the Legislative Council to provide staff support to the Legislature. Weekend and evening work are required during the legislative session and depending on legislative or other operational needs.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of a wide range of professional and technical services, including but not limited to information technology architecture; software development; database administration; data backup; data security; network and cyber security.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • At least five years of progressive information technology management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience.
  • Advanced degree in computer science or information technology management or equivalent.
  • An advanced degree in related field, with extensive, relevant managerial experience in information technology may be substituted, or an equivalent combination of education and related management experience.
  • Strong management and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities
