About The Position

Vital Health is a growing behavioral health and primary care organization serving adults and children throughout Northwest Ohio. Our mission is to improve the lives of our patients, families, and community through compassionate, individualized care while changing the way people think about mental health and substance use treatment. We are seeking a passionate and organized Director Of Youth Programming to oversee our expanding children and adolescent behavioral health programs. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced social worker, counselor, or behavioral health professional who enjoys supporting both staff and families while helping programs grow within the community. This position is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in social work, outpatient behavioral health, case management, youth therapy, or community mental health leadership.

Requirements

State of Ohio LSW or LPC required.
At a minimum, at least one-year previous experience in managing personnel and budgets.
The position requires reliable transportation.
Valid driver's license.
Background checks are required for this position.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all services provided to clients and their families.
Ensure that all patients receive the appropriate number of hours, contacts, services according to their treatment plan.
Ensure that a service or treatment plan that meets the individual needs of the client and family is developed and implemented. Such plans must be strength-based using the wraparound and integrated care model.
Monitor service delivery provided by staff and ensure that staff implements the goals in the service or treatment plans, as well as make any revisions to the plan that result from changing needs or case reviews.
Identify, recruit, hire, train, monitor and supervise all direct service professional and administrative staff in the local program, following the Vital Health personnel policies and procedures, including the policy for recruiting direct service staff.
Ensure that staff qualifications meet those imposed by the referring authority or third-party payor.
Manage children case managers and LSWs/LPC for Vital Health.
Approve time cards, time off, and additional payroll needs for direct reports.
Provide direct service professional personnel with staff development and training sessions as required by Vital Health policies.
Promote staff development including the provision of cross-training among staff.
Conduct staff meetings and training sessions for program personnel.
Attend staff meetings and training as assigned by the COO/Clinical Director.
Assist staff in creative problem solving, including securing needed professional resources for clients and their families.
Ensure that activities for clients and their families involve education, employment, social and other areas of need.
Develop plans for discharge which include community linkages that will support the client and family after termination of service.
Ensure that all required timelines and due dates are met. This includes submission of all administrative, fiscal and billing documents.
Manage evidence base models for all children programs. (Day treatment, PHP, Mental Health and SUD IOP, summer program)
Identify new opportunities and new projects to assist in the growth and development of Vital Health.
Maintain good working relationships with school partnerships
Run day treatment groups under supervision of Clinical Director.
Assist with referrals and monitoring of all caseloads for children staff.
Assist and monitor all community based relationships.
