About The Position

As the Director of Young Adult Housing, you’ll lead programs supporting older youth and young adults experiencing housing instability or transitioning from foster care. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, nonprofit management, or a related field required
• Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in the housing industry.
• Minimum of three years of experience in housing, child welfare, homelessness prevention, young adult services, or a related field.
• Knowledge and expertise in federal HUD funding streams and processes.
• Strong leadership ability, interpersonal skills and team management with the ability to train and develop staff.
• Travel required with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for youth drop-in centers, housing programs and social enterprise programs within FosterAdopt Connect’s Connect Café.
• Leads teams and programs serving older youth and young adults who are currently or formerly involved in foster care and/or experiencing housing instability.
• Ensures high-quality services, strong program outcomes, and compliance with applicable funding requirements.
• Develops community and housing partnerships and expanding opportunities for safe, affordable housing.
• Develops expertise in HUD funding, supports sustainable funding efforts, and helps connect young adults with employment, education, transportation, financial resources, and other community supports.
