About The Position

Bridge City Church exists to become a multi-ethnic, multi-generational community deeply transforming lives for the flourishing of all people. Our sole purpose is to make disciples and multiply that mission at every level of our Church. We are on our way to becoming a sending Church across the Bay Area who plants churches and reaches this region with the Gospel. We believe gathered worship is one of the primary ways this vision comes to life. We are looking for a Director of Worship Experiences who will help shape the worship culture, sound, and experience of our church. This is more than a role focused on leading songs or managing teams, it is a calling to cultivate environments where people encounter Jesus, grow spiritually, and prepare other worship leaders and music directors to be sent out of us. The ideal candidate is gifted musically by God, a natural visionary, creative, and a spiritually mature leader who can build culture, develop people, and create meaningful worship experiences. This leader will be given significant trust, ownership, and autonomy to lead, experiment, create, and build within the vision of Bridge City Church.

Requirements

A passionate follower of Jesus with spiritual maturity and emotional health.
A seasoned Musical Leader with 5+ years of experience in the local Church.
A visionary leader who can build culture, not just manage programs.

Responsibilities

Help shape and carry the worship vision and culture of Bridge City Church.
Build worship environments that are spiritually alive, culturally aware, and rooted in the presence of God.
Help establish and develop the evolving sound and worship identity of Bridge City Church.
Lead with creativity, initiative, and ownership while operating within the broader vision of the church.
Oversee the musical direction and worship experience of weekend gatherings.
Collaborate closely with the Lead Pastor, Production Manager, and Creative Team to shape meaningful and engaging services.
Lead weekly rehearsals, weekly worship gatherings, and special events such as worship nights as needed.
Help prepare key gatherings including Easter, Christmas, church celebrations, and other major moments.
Explore songwriting and the development of original Bridge City Worship music over time.
Build and develop healthy worship teams and leaders who can lead at Bridge City, and be sent out to lead.
Recruit, mentor, and empower musicians and worship leaders at every level.
Partner closely with pastors, shepherds, teachers, and other spiritually gifted leaders within the church to help disciple and care for members of the worship community.
Help cultivate a ministry culture where people are empowered to serve according to their God-given gifts, allowing the body of Christ to function as the body.
Schedule musicians and vocalists weekly for Sunday gatherings through Planning Center Online.
Work closely with the Production Manager to support excellent in-person and online worship experiences.
Collaborate across ministries and departments to ensure unity, alignment, and healthy communication.
Help steward worship ministry systems, planning, communication, and budgeting responsibly.
