About The Position

The Worship Leader & Music Director leads worship, music directs, and fills spots wherever needed to support the team across a variety of church environments and events. They work directly with the Worship Pastor to help lead and serve our church. This role may include assisting with rehearsals, leading teams, filling instrumental or vocal positions, and serving wherever needed. This person reports to the Worship Pastor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Biblical knowledge and training with a strong understanding of worship throughout the entirety of Scripture.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in worship leading and music directing preferred.
  • Valid PA Driver’s License.
  • Strong biblical understanding of worship with experience in worship leading and music directing preferred.
  • Demonstrates musical skill, leadership ability, clear communication, flexibility, and the capacity to lead teams and rehearsals effectively.
  • A teachable, humble, dependable team player who shows spiritual maturity, servant leadership, and a heart to lead others in worship.
  • Have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Live a lifestyle that reflects Biblical standards.
  • Be a member of Worship Center, or willing to become a member.
  • Attend worship services regularly and participate in the life of the church family.
  • Tithe to Worship Center.
  • Fully embrace the WC Staff Culture Values.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a variety of ministry environments, including Sunday mornings, Youth, Bible Study, Kids Worship, funerals, worship nights, and special events.
  • Music direct rehearsals and services by coming fully prepared, knowing each instrument part, understanding service structure and transitions, and leading the band with clarity and excellence while supporting the worship leader.
  • Lead worship during services and rehearsals with both spiritual and musical preparation, helping create an environment that ministers to the Lord and invites people to worship Him.
  • Fill instrumental or vocal roles as needed to support the worship ministry team during rehearsals, services, and events.
  • Maintain a high level of musical excellence through personal preparation, rehearsal readiness, and continued growth in musicianship and leadership.
