The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a motivated Administrative Space Analyst to join our team as Director of Workplace Services. This role is primarily responsible for overseeing a team of architects and engineers who provide design services for agency needs, including renovations of work and support spaces, building systems upgrades, and furniture/office technology upgrades. The position also involves managing the agency’s space portfolio, tracking occupancy, advising leadership on space optimization strategies to reduce reliance on leased property, and improving workspace quality. The Director will collaborate with the Construction Services Unit on project implementation and execution, develop agency design standards in compliance with DCAS Space Standards, and ensure consistent implementation across facilities. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience with City processes (DCAS Space Standards, leasing), a thorough understanding of cost estimating, furniture and office technology systems, construction administration, interior corporate design standards, NYC Building Code, and project management. Strong soft skills for staff and client management, and a proactive team-player attitude are essential. NCIDQ and LEED Accreditation are preferred but not required. This position reports to the FMC and Real Estate Executive Director.
