About The Position

Taymar Sales U. is a sports marketing company focused on revenue generation for its clients. They are hiring a Director of Ticket Sales & Operations for California State University - Bakersfield Athletics. This role is responsible for all aspects of ticket revenue generation, including sales strategy, outbound calls for new and group sales, season ticket holder retention, reporting, and ticket system management. Requirements

3+ Years experience in a Sports Ticket Sales role
Proven track record and success in group ticket sales
Thorough knowledge of ticket sales processes and procedures.
Experience in intercollegiate athletics or professional ticket sales with successful results.
Bachelor’s Degree with a degree in Sports Management or a related field.
Effective communication (oral, written and interpersonal) skills.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
Ability to work various hours including nights and weekends.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry.

Nice To Haves

Heavily preferred experience working with Paciolan or TicketMaster.

Responsibilities

Day to day oversight of ticket sales and operations strategy and execution for all 8 ticketed athletic events.
Plan, create and execute a comprehensive year round ticket sales strategy to grow revenue for Cal State Bakersfield Athletics.
Help manage the ticket office graduate assistants and student workers.
Exceed all Ticket Sales revenue goals determined by senior management.
Communicate with Cal State Bakersfield fan base through outbound calls, emails and face to face meetings.
Initiate and execute ticket sales results for Group Sales, New Season Ticket Sales and Renewal campaigns.
Generate reports and track overall ticketing revenue pace towards goals.
Work as a self starter to innovate new initiatives to drive revenue for the athletics department.
Represent athletics program and University with the highest integrity.
Build superior relationships with all fans, donors and athletic department constituents.
Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment to produce accurate results.
Maintain a positive working relationship with all internal & external units of the department and University to ensure a positive event experience for customers.
