University of Louisville Health Frazier Rehab Hospital-Brownsboro, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and University of Louisville, is seeking a Director of Therapy for their Inpatient Rehab Facility. This role is responsible for the direction and oversight of Therapy Services, coordinating and supervising department operations, and maintaining performance improvement activities. The Director will ensure personnel competency, assist in budget formulation, evaluate department performance, and develop systems for reviewing and ensuring accurate patient charges. They will also maintain efficient department operations while ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. The Director will manage Therapy Services staff, support staff in embracing the organization's mission and values, and observe and evaluate program effectiveness, recommending changes as needed. They will develop direct reports to excel in supervision and support of staff in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary models. Working under the guidance of the CEO and in collaboration with the Medical Staff and hospital leadership, the Director will lead the development of clinical programs, with a strong focus on CARF certification. The role involves evaluating department performance against budgets and benchmarks, taking appropriate action to stay within guidelines for staffing, outcomes, employee satisfaction, patient engagement, and other key metrics. The Director is a key member of the Administrative Team, serving as a leader or member in hospital committees, and collaborating with the Chief Nursing Officer, Nurse Manager, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
