About The Position

The Director of Teen Services is responsible for leading high-quality, engaging, and outcome-driven programming for teens in grades 7 – 12 (ages 12–18), with primary oversight of the Greeley Teen Center. This role focuses on expanding teen engagement across Weld County through strategic recruitment, strong community partnerships, and impactful programming. This position serves as the organizational leader for teen services, ensuring youth are prepared for success in high school, post-secondary opportunities, and the workforce. The Director will build a culture that prioritizes relationships, engagement, and meaningful youth outcomes.

Requirements

  • Work evenings regularly and occasional weekends based on program and event needs
  • Participate in organizational events, meetings, and initiatives
  • Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications (or obtain within 90 days)
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive Club vehicles
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Youth Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in youth development, nonprofit programming, or related field
  • Experience supervising staff and leading programs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with middle and high school youth preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of teen programming
  • Ensure programs are aligned with BGCA’s Five Core Program Areas and organizational outcome priorities
  • Maintain a strong focus on workforce readiness, life skills development, and leadership opportunities
  • Identify trends and evolving teen interests to ensure programming remains relevant and engaging
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance program impact and effectiveness
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Teen Center
  • Ensure a safe, structured, and engaging environment for all members
  • Establish consistency in program delivery, expectations, and overall Club experience
  • Maintain strong systems for scheduling, supervision, and program execution
  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain teen members (ages 12–18)
  • Actively engage teens through outreach in schools and the community
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with youth to foster belonging and long-term participation
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of teens entering programming at the Teen Center
  • Design and implement programming focused on career exploration, job readiness, and life skills
  • Create opportunities for teens to engage with post-secondary and workforce pathways
  • Build partnerships that expand access to career and educational opportunities
  • Support youth in preparing for life beyond high school
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, businesses, and community organizations
  • Increase community awareness and participation in teen programming
  • Represent the organization in community settings, events, and tours
  • Identify and implement innovative engagement opportunities (e.g., sports leagues, special events, and partnerships)
  • Create programming that increases teen participation, excitement, and retention
  • Explore new approaches that enhance the teen experience
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of staff to deliver high-quality, youth-centered programming
  • Establish clear expectations for performance, professionalism, and program quality
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to ensure staff growth and effectiveness
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
  • Ensure staff are equipped to build strong relationships with youth and deliver engaging experiences
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of staff as needed
  • Track participation, attendance (ADA), and engagement data
  • Utilize data and youth feedback to inform programming decisions
  • Ensure programming is outcome-driven and aligned with organizational goals
  • Support tracking of youth progress, including graduation and post-secondary readiness outcomes
