The Director of Technology Governance is responsible for establishing governance frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing technology risk, and overseeing vendor management processes across the organization. This role involves establishing IT governance framework and policies, ensuring regulatory alignment and compliance, leading IT risk management and controls, coordinating audits and regulatory exams, and overseeing the third-party and vendor lifecycle management. The Director will also manage contracts and vendor performance, define governance KPIs and reporting, drive continuous improvement of controls, and partner with Risk, Legal, and Procurement teams. This position directly supervises employees in Technology Governance and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving problems.
