About The Position
We are seeking a senior technology leader to oversee the WIC Technology team and provide strategic, operational, and technical direction for mission-critical systems. The role combines team leadership, systems oversight, technology strategy, and senior-level technical support. The client is the Florida Department of Health, supporting the WIC technology environment, including FL-WiSE and EBT systems. This is a full-time, long-term contract position based onsite in Tallahassee, FL.
Requirements
- 8+ years of enterprise systems and application development experience.
- Strong experience with Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, APIs, .NET, JavaScript, Azure DevOps/TFS, and related technologies.
- Experience with cellular communication technologies and IBM Cloud / Watson X.
- 5+ years of technical leadership, SDLC management, strategic planning, vendor management, and security/risk management.
- Strong experience supporting high-availability systems and communicating with senior stakeholders.
- Must be able to work onsite in Tallahassee and pass the required Florida DOH background check.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate technical teams across development, product, project, and systems administration.
- Oversee the full SDLC for FL-WiSE, EBT, integrations, cloud, and related applications.
- Manage technology strategy, governance, risks, security, system performance, and disaster recovery.
- Oversee vendors, contracts, SLAs, budgets, and technology procurements.
- Communicate technology risks, priorities, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
