About The Position

The Director of Surgical Services is an acute-care executive leadership role in Kissimmee, Florida. The director oversees a high-volume surgical program consisting of 13 operating rooms, 2 CVORs, 80–90 FTEs, and approximately 650–700 cases per month. The position leads operations, quality, staffing, financial performance, and patient experience, and reports directly to the COO.

The role leads four managers across the OR, SPD, Pre/Post, and Endoscopy. The program operates in a Level II Trauma environment and provides cardiovascular, trauma, orthopedic/spine, general, GYN, urology, and vascular services. It uses Mako and three da Vinci Xi systems. The director has significant operational autonomy and executive visibility, with the opportunity to influence service-line growth and performance. This is a full-time day-schedule position.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent acute-care Surgical Services Director experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Strong quality, staffing, budgeting, and operational leadership capabilities.

Nice To Haves

• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experienced OR Managers from large trauma centers may be considered.
