About The Position
Lead a high-performing Surgical Services department as a Director of Surgical Services (RN Leadership) within a major acute care hospital. This full-time leadership role oversees surgical operations across 11 Main ORs, 2 CVORs, and 3 Endoscopy Suites supporting a Level II Trauma Center performing approximately 600–700 surgical cases per month. The Director is responsible for driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency, quality outcomes, staff engagement, physician collaboration, strategic growth initiatives, and financial performance while ensuring exceptional patient-centered care across all perioperative service lines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master's Degree required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Surgical Services leadership experience in an Acute Care setting required
- Current RN License required
- BLS Certification required
- Extensive perioperative leadership experience required
- Experience managing multiple OR specialties and surgical service lines required
- Strong budgeting, staffing, operational, and quality improvement experience required
- Demonstrated leadership accomplishments and measurable performance outcomes required
- Strong physician relations and multidisciplinary collaboration skills required
