About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the Supply Chain function, focusing on developing and implementing a 3-5 year strategic plan to drive efficiencies, innovation, and improve SC service offerings while controlling costs and inventory levels. The position ensures alignment of strategy with wider business objectives, provides stakeholders with performance updates, and executes logistics processes. The Director is accountable for external SC partners' performance and cost, and is a member of the local leadership team. Key responsibilities include monitoring SC execution performance, aligning with regional sales and marketing, managing budgets, supporting regional initiatives, consolidating demands, overseeing employee development to ensure superior Supply Chain competencies, and achieving business targets through efficiency measures. Further developments include improvements in warehouse footprint and the S&OP process, as well as developing and maintaining a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years Supply Chain Management
  • Experience with SAP is an asset
  • Experience working in a cross matrixed environment
  • 5 plus years’ experience in a direct-to-consumer environment
  • Ability to lead multiple businesses; good understanding of white goods business
  • Strong track record of successfully running logistics mid-size units in industry or logistics services
  • Good IT understanding (e.g. forecasting software, S&OP, WMS, TMS, …)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Supply Chain function with a focus on developing and implementing 3-5 years strategic plan with the intent of driving efficiencies and innovation to improve all SC service offerings whilst controlling costs and inventory levels
  • Ensure alignment of strategy to wider business strategies and objectives
  • Provide necessary stakeholders with regular, accurate, and concise updates on cluster performance to enable broader logistics strategies to be developed
  • Execute logistics processes and functions on a level
  • Accountable for all external SC partners (Performance, Cost)
  • Member of local leadership team
  • Monitor and ensure performance of all relevant SC execution
  • Align w/ regional sales and marketing activities to ensure a Supply Chain Strategy that supports their respective objectives through cost effective and efficient service offerings
  • Manage budget and partake in yearly budget planning activities
  • Support successful implementation of regional initiatives acting as intermediary with functions & respective employees
  • Consolidate demands ensuring harmonization and global alignment
  • Oversee development of all employees to guarantee superior Supply Chain competencies
  • Successful execution for operational, tactical & strategic topics
  • Achieving of aligned business targets through sustainable and predefined efficiency measures
  • Further developments: improvements in WH footprint and S&OP process
