Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or eight (8) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
• Progressive leadership, administrative and supervisory experience, with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in student affairs, student services, or an enrollment management area within higher education.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience shall be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff, including hiring, supervision, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Experience designing and implementing holistic, student-centered support services that promote access, persistence, and completion for diverse student populations.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across institutional departments (e.g., advising, financial aid, admissions, academic affairs) to support student success.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, implement innovative practices, and build collaborative solutions in complex institutional environments.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated commitment to advancing equitable outcomes and serving first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities.
• Experience with data-informed decision-making, including tracking student outcomes and using student information systems.
• Experience managing budgets and resources in a compliant and effective manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student information systems.
• Ability to travel between campuses and community sites, and to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the College's access, persistence, and completion programs, including federally funded TRIO programs and the state funded SUCCESS initiative.
• Lead the development, implementation, and assessment of programs and services designed to support low-income students, first-generation college students, students with disabilities, racially minoritized students, and students who identify as LGBTQIA+.
• Responsible for program administration, regulatory compliance, budget management, staff supervision, and alignment with institutional student success priorities.
• Advance student outcomes through innovative, holistic support strategies, data-informed decision-making, and student-centered program design.
• Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for federally funded TRIO programs, ensuring alignment with federal regulations, grant objectives, and institutional student success priorities.
• Serve as Principal Investigator (PI) for TRIO grants, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal requirements and completion of required reporting, including the Annual Performance Report (APR).
• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Student Support Services (SSS) and Upward Bound (UB) programs focused on student access, persistence, retention, transfer, and completion.
• Oversee delivery of holistic, student-centered services including advising, tutoring, financial literacy, transfer planning, career development, FAFSA completion, and college readiness programming.
• Direct and implement year-round Upward Bound programming, including academic-year and summer components, in collaboration with K-12 and community partners.
• Develop and implement outreach, recruitment, and engagement strategies while ensuring accurate determination and documentation of participant eligibility.
• Manage TRIO program budgets, expenditures, grant administration, and operational processes to ensure compliant and effective use of federal funds.
• Stay informed of TRIO regulations, compliance requirements, and emerging best practices related to college access and student support programs.
• Lead and coordinate SUCCESS initiatives focused on advancing equitable student outcomes, strengthening students' sense of belonging, and improving institutional responsiveness to historically underserved student populations.
• Serve as lead administrator for Bristol's SUCCESS funding and ensure compliance with all state reporting and program requirements.
• Serve as the College liaison to the statewide SUCCESS Coordinating Committee and participate in statewide planning, collaboration, and initiative development.
• Collaborate with Strategic Analytics, Institutional Research, and Grant Accounting to compile and submit required SUCCESS budget, enrollment, and student outcome reports.
• Maintain and update SUCCESS-related communications, materials, and web content to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with evolving state and federal guidance.
• Advance Bristol's standing within the statewide SUCCESS initiative through strong program implementation, accurate data reporting, collaborative leadership, and improved student outcomes.
• Oversee assessment, data analysis, and program evaluation activities to support strategic planning, continuous improvement, and equitable student outcomes.
• Lead innovation and continuous improvement efforts designed to remove barriers, strengthen student engagement, and improve persistence and completion outcomes.
• Identify, pilot, and scale promising practices that enhance student support delivery and institutional student success efforts.
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, assessment, and evidence-based practice within Student Success Programs.
• Collaborate across the College and with external partners to strengthen student support systems, improve service coordination, and advance institutional student success goals.
• Represent the College on institutional committees, community partnerships, and external initiatives related to access, persistence, and student success.
• Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions and work collaboratively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
• Demonstrate a sense of professionalism and consistently reflect Bristol's core values while interacting with members of the Bristol community.
