About The Position

ExcelPrep is a mission-driven private program serving neurodiverse children through structured, research-based instruction. Our mission is simple: prioritize the academic and social success of neurodiverse learners. We are a professional and agile organization committed to delivering high-quality academic and therapeutic programming that supports meaningful learning outcomes. ExcelPrep offers two distinct programs designed to meet the needs of diverse learners ages 3-13: PreK–8 Academic Program and Clinical ABA Program (Ages 3–13). Our mission is to provide a nurturing, academically focused learning environment where neurodiverse students can develop strong academic foundations, cognitive-linguistic skills, and the confidence needed to succeed in school and beyond.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in student engagement, program management, school administration, or a related role within education or clinical settings
  • Demonstrated experience working with neurodiverse populations; familiarity with ABA, Direct Instruction, and Precision Teaching is highly desirable
  • Strong data literacy: ability to analyze engagement and outcomes data, translate insights into action, and communicate results to leadership and families
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills; ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Knowledge of IEP/504 processes and private school operations is advantageous
  • Ability to work on-site in San Antonio, TX; willingness to work flexible hours to support events and family programs
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus
  • Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards; ability to pass background checks as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading student engagement in PreK–8 and/or clinical/ABA settings
  • Experience coordinating with Occupational Therapy and other therapies in support of sensory-motor development
  • Background in private or mission-driven school environments with a focus on neurodiverse learners
  • Demonstrated success in data analytics, program evaluation, and staff development

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive student engagement strategy across PreK–8 Academic and ABA programs, ensuring alignment with Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, and behavior-science-based practices
  • Design, implement, and measure student engagement initiatives (events, clubs, social skills groups, transitional activities) that support academic and social development for neurodiverse learners
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with families, caregivers, and community organizations; lead family engagement initiatives and parent education sessions
  • Collaborate with program leaders (Academic/Core Instruction, ABA, OT, and clinical teams) to integrate engagement practices with instructional goals and therapeutic programming
  • Oversee attendance, student welfare, safety, and well-being; coordinate with clinical and therapy teams to address student needs
  • Manage data-driven decision making: track engagement metrics, participation, attendance, social competencies, and outcomes; report findings to leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of engagement professionals or coordinators; foster an inclusive, collaborative culture
  • Manage budgets related to engagement activities, events, and family programming; ensure cost-effective and high-impact initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, IEP goals, and privacy/safety standards; help ensure smooth transitions between programs and services
  • Advocate for and model inclusive practices that respect neurodiversity and promote equitable access to learning opportunities
